品壶六要
茶山之英，含土之精，饮其德者，心恬神宁
茗注莫妙于砂，壶之精者，又莫过于阳羡，盖既不夺香，又无熟汤气
文人将其思想，情趣，喜好，审美等都直接融入到壶艺创作中来，文人壶以其美形态，取内涵，重神韵，得意趣，有文心，可把玩而大行其道
曼生壶将诗书画印融为一体，达到了壶艺的完美结合
茗必武夷，壶必孟臣，杯必若深，三者为品茶之要，非此不足以豪，且不足待客
艳花赠美人，良剑赠英雄，精壶赠文士
青青翠竹尽是法身，郁郁黄花无非般若
品壶6要：1神韵，2形态，3色泽，4意趣，5文心，6适用
神者，精神生动也，韵者，风姿仪致也，两者皆可感受而不可具体指陈。凡有神韵之壶，皆有鲜明的个性，富有生命的活动感。
凡壶所显示之神，所流露之韵，如古朴，玲珑，透彻，疏刚，清爽，天真，雅淡，宏伟，简洁，明快，高昂，浑朴，轻素，柔润，挺拔等，皆高雅脱俗，生气勃勃，茗壶之佳者然，或端庄如燕赵佳人，或娉婷如吴楚姝丽，虽风格各异，然皆各具其美
壶之神韵，不可自立，要在形态中流露出，神寓栖于形中，寄物而通，使人自然感受出来
